Pirkko Mannola and Esko Salminen play young pop stars of the same name, who develop a secret romance that is kept hidden from the other musicians in the pop orchestra. Sven is a decent yet not too brilliant soldier, and his exploits are partly balanced here by the charms of a compatriot.

He accidentally wanders into the shower room and tries to get out disguised as a cleaner, but ends up in the same bed as gymnastics teacher Marjatta. Private Pöntinen, who is dating the boarding school cook, has a blast when he gets his hands on Captain Routa's uniform.

Lissie is a pickpocket who escapes from the police by pretending to be the wife of the absent-minded Leopold. Leopold falls in love with the young woman, but Lissie is more interested in the valuables she finds in the wealthy professor's apartment.

Immersed in his research work, professor Reinhold Varavaara realizes that he has neglected his children's upbringing. He falls in love with his son Pelle's girlfriend Marja and becomes a laughing stock in the eyes of his family. The offended father sets out to discipline his ill-behaved children.
