NRAfter several amusing gags, including one in which a tough character seems to be holding up the pawnshop but is only selling his gun, Abie sees Kitty Dolan, whose father is running for alderman, and it is love at first sight. A rival candidate makes trouble and plants a bomb in the shop but Abie turns the tables on him. Election day finds Dolan's followers too lazy to vote. Abie stirs them up by offering to lick them and then running to the polling place with the mob at his heels. Dolan wins and so does Abie.

Whittemore arrives first and D'Arcambal refuses to meet with him until he saves his daughter, Jeanne (Pauline Starke) from going over the rapids. Then Thorpe arrives and tries to use force by kidnapping Jeanne and insisting that he is her father.

A Fight for Millions

NRTo retaliate for Bill Warned's vigilante activity, Captain Sunlight, a notorious outlaw, kidnaps Warned's sister Janet, an Eastern society girl, from her train and holds her in the hills. Janet is rescued by Jack Conway, a rancher, but faints before getting a good look at him. Because he bears a resemblance to Sunlight, Janet turns Jack over to the posse the next time they meet.

The film was long considered to be lost, however, chapters 4, 5, and 6 and reel 1 of chapter 7 were recently discovered in a European archive and retranslated back into English. A sea captain obtains half of a map directing him to an enormous treasure on a south sea island. The princess who rules the island possesses the other half of the map, and together they fight off the pirates and natives who would prevent their retrieval of the treasure.

Roland helps Dick escape and later supplies him with a weapon, but her irate father, the sheriff, must be put out of action -- by his own handcuffs as it turns out -- before the villain can be captured and peace restored.
