Lucca is a struggling country singer who is forced by his manager Iolanda to record cheesy pop-country song. Upon a disagreement during a studio recording section, Lucca returns to his hometown in order to find inspiration for his music.

On the eve of an important surfing championship, a group of young friends travels along the Brazilian coast with the intention of training hard and having a chance to become professional in the sport. However, along the way, Guel, a surfer bum, falls in love with a rich girl.

In the bohemian 1960s Rio de Janeiro, the 16 year-old rebel and reckless teenager Marcelo, a terrible student that plays hooky from school, dreams on leaving his home and move to São Paulo to work hard, make money and travel abroad to visit the world.
