Tomasz Gąssowski

Remek Wróbel is a mailman and an enthusiastic member of an amateur football team. He’s pushing on forty, living the life of a bachelor. One day, everything changes – his neat, tidy life is turned upside down by the appearance of Grandpa, whom he hadn’t met before, and his new chatty neighbour, Marzenka.

The story of a spirited ten-year-old girl who has run away from her proudly affluent parents in town and finds grudging refuge with the slightly slovenly caretaker of an abandoned farm, an ex-teacher.

A play-off. A comedy-drama. Zyga, who is thirty-eight and lives not far from Warsaw, attempts to explain the rules governing the world to his son, Witek. Not that he himself always sticks to them, a fact that hasn't escaped his quick-witted offspring's notice.
