It is the year 2027, eight years after the first outbreak of The Sickness, a highly contagious, adaptive and lethal virus. The world is now run by a pharmaceutical corporation called The Company, which distributes a treatment for the virus but charges a high price for it, putting the majority of people in a state of poverty and dependence.

Jasmijn struggles with writer's block following a fatal accident. The only thing she keeps writing are letters to Wim, the victim's widower. However, he never replies. Jasmijn realises that she can't go on like this and leaves for Morocco, where Wim runs a hotel.

In this new installment, Mister Twister faces a major challenge as he has to stand on his own. While continuing to inspire his students with creative teaching methods, he deals with changes both at school and in his personal life. The strict principal keeps him on his toes, and his students never fail to surprise him in their own unique ways.
