The Challenge... A Tribute to Modern Art is a 1974 American documentary film directed by Herbert Kline. The film shows footage of great modern artists in their studios creating and commenting on their work, with narration and commentary by Orson Welles. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

And therefore developed a conflict with the Swedish art establishment. The Director of the Modern museum Pontus Hultén became his nemesis. Revenge to Theodor Ahrenberg would be creating his own art museum of Stockholm. Designed by world-famous architect Le Corbusier.

A rare opportunity to view famed artist Marc Chagall at work in his studio creating two extraordinary pieces of monumental art in mosaic and stained glass - the Four Seasons, Chagall's large and magnificent free-standing mosaic, and The America Windows, the artist's glorious stained glass tribute to America installed at The Art Institute of Chicago. The films not only provide an unusually intimate view of the artist at work, but chronicles the collaborative relationship between artist and artisan in bringing Chagall's vision to life.
