Johnny Bingo is the story of a man, no hero, no villain, just an ordinary man, who tries to fight his way out of the suffocating world of Bingo, where addiction, lust, loneliness and even love turn out to be formidable adversaries.

What do you do if you want to keep reality at a distance? You put a camera in between, just like the boy that unrelentingly lets his camera run at his father’s funeral. His mother can order him to put the thing away as much as she wants, the son keeps capturing what his eyes don’t want to see and his heart doesn’t want to feel. In the process, the handheld perspective also represents the mourning of a child who’d obviously rather play than weep.

Gorgeous Anna entices Jack, whom she does not know, into a remarkable game in a hamburger joint. Jack and Anna challenge each other by devouring their JoyMeal menu as sensually as possible. But before Jack reaches a climax, his French fries are finished.

High school student Denise is dissatisfied with her life, and when she meets charming 19-year-old Michael, her desire for luxury and romance seems to be fulfilled. But Michael is investing in her for his own benefit.

Uitgesloten is set in 1983. Jonathan is 18 and, just like his best friend Coen, he has grown up in the Jehovah's Witnesses. In this world with its strict rules, Jonathan and Coen however have their own ideas. Both have girlfriends, Marjan and Annemiek, who live in a very different world: the girls study at art school and mix with squatters. The boys do not tell their girlfriends about their background and they anxiously keep Marjan and Annemiek hidden from their own community. The friends lead a double life: they ring doorbells to distribute the Ontwaakt! and play in a band for the Jehovah's Witnesses, while they also visit ska concerts and squatters' bars and become increasingly caught up in the worldly life of Marjan and Annemiek.

A party hosted by Beat poet Allen Ginsberg inspired the director's award-winning graduation film Van Gogh's Ear, an experimental short featuring the maestro talking about his creations, death and immortality.
