Fernando de Ouro Preto nasceu em Curitiba, Paraná, em 27 de abril de 1964, filho do embaixador Afonso de Celso Ouro-Preto - tataraneto do Visconde de Ouro Preto - e a historiadora Marília. Era o terceiro filho, depois de Ico e Ana. A carreira do pai fez a família se mudar para os Estados Unidos, Áustria e Suíça antes de se fixar em Brasília. Em meio às viagens, conheceu em 1974, outro filho de diplomatas, Dado Villa-Lobos, que mais tarde se tornaria seu meio-irmão.1 Aos 11 anos, teve seus primeiros contatos com o rock através de Herbert Vianna e Bi Ribeiro, que mais tarde fundariam Os Paralamas do Sucesso. Sai do Brasil e volta aos 16 anos, na época da ditadura, quando a tribo punk começava a invadir as ruas de Brasília. Começou a participar das reuniões da chamada turma da colina, um lugar estratégico, de onde era possível ver toda cidade. Em 1981, Afonso se casou com a mãe de Dado, Lucy, e ambos vão trabalhar em Guiné-Bissau, enquanto Marília se muda para a França. O pai de Dado também sai do país, então Dinho, Dado, seu irmão Luiz Otávio "Tavo" Villa-Lobos, e o irmão de Bi, Pedro Ribeiro, passam a morar juntos no mesmo apartamento em Brasília.1 Dinho começou a namorar com uma garota chamada Helena que era irmã de Felipe "Fê" e Flávio Lemos, os quais eram integrantes da banda Aborto Elétrico. Lá Dinho virou amigo de Renato Russo, vocalista da banda dos irmãos Lemos, Aborto Elétrico. Dinho tornou-se fã incondicional da banda, frequentando ensaios e shows e conhecendo todas as músicas.

9.2With influences from the Ramones, the Misfits, Buzzcocks, Pennywise, Green Day, and other old school punk and hardcore legends, CPM 22 recorded their first demo tape in 1998. Their popularity in the Brazilian underground scene led CPM 22 to record the independent album A Alguns Quilômetros de Lugar Algum (A Few Kilometers From Nowhere). Two years later they were included in the Brazilian MTV video-music award in the demo clip category with "Anteontem" (The Day Before Yesterday).
