Yoko, a female accomplice, is tossed in a women's prison where she meets Yuki, and the two of them manage to escape. Their plan is meet up with the robber who avoided capture, get ahold of the cash, and get for away from the big city.

Otsuyu, the daughter of a samurai, takes her life after being forced into an unwanted marriage, and her maid Omi follows her in death. Together as spirits, they visit Otsuyu’s lover, Shinzaemon. Believing Otsuyu is alive, Shinzaemon rekindles their relationship, but he soon begins to waste away. A concerned neighbor consults a doctor, who reveals that Shinzaemon is being haunted and his death is near.

One day, no one tried to criticise him, but only test driver Inoki (Kurizuka) accused him of being selfish. Angered, Hiroshi challenged Inoki to a race, but lost miserably. From then on, Hiroshi began to seriously hone his skills as a racer in order to overtake Inoki.
