In the Edo era, two man arrive in a village and engage in criminal activity. While one of them becomes successful and rich, the other gets betrayed and ends up in prison, burning for revenge. The truth changes with the viewpoint in this Wakamatsu film, which has inspired comparisons to Rashomon.

A girl is sold to a brothel. She is destined to become a prostitute, but because she is still a child, she is made to work as a maid there. Because she grew up in the countryside, she is careless in everything she does, and is constantly mocked by the landlady and the prostitutes who work there. One day, the girl takes the undergarment she was ordered to wear and heads to the room of a prostitute's older sister. As soon as she opens the sliding door, she is shocked. There she finds her older sister tied up with rope and being tortured by a male customer. The girl instinctively shouts "Stop it!", but is shocked to see that the older sister does not seem to mind, but rather seems to enjoy it. Before long, the girl is unable to get the scene out of her head, and begins to secretly tie ropes around herself in her room...

A young and beautiful female instructor. While she has a physical relationship with a guard, she also serves as a spy for the warden. She disguises herself as a prisoner and sneaks into the cells, cleverly finding out the prisoners' secrets and reporting them to the warden. As a result, a thought criminal commits suicide, and a colleague who became involved in lesbian relations with a female prisoner is punished.

However, she is overtaken by the president of the Beauty Association and others. Then, a mysterious man, Segiyama, appears before her. He tells Kaori that he will take back the rights to the salon in Shinjuku in exchange for campaign expenses.

Minemura, who works in the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital, was unable to have an abortion, and she was fired. She leaves the hospital and opens a hidden obstetric and gynecological practice on a remote street. This place became a place for women who wanted to get medical help, secretly.
