Åge Aleksandersen

A documentary about the Swedish singer Björn Afzelius, his life and work, told by interviews with friends, family and bandmates and through unique and never-seen-before archive material.

Åge Aleksandersen, Gunnar Pedersen and Trondheimsolistene have since 2019 had a close collaboration which so far has resulted in over 60 concerts. This concert documentary follows the project to the legendary Huset on Svalbard and the Opera House in Oslo. The film provides a unique insight into Åge's career. He shares his stories about the music and the collaboration with Gunnar and the Trondheimsolistene. We also meet his daughter, Line-Sofie.

Med.: Aunt Mary, Sigbjørn Berhoft Osa og Saft, Hvalsøespillemendene, Merit Hemmingson och Folkmusikgruppen, Prudence, Splash, Savage Rose, Culpeper's Orchard, Skin Alley, Mungo Jerry, Pretty Things, Burken och Rockfolket og Popol Vuh. Ideen bak Ragnarock er blant annet å vise sammenhengen mellom folkemusikkrytmer og rockerytmer. Derfor er det fortrinnsvis skandinaviske grupper som er med - og i filmens åpningssekvens spilles både norsk, dansk og svensk folkemusikk. Konserten foregikk søndag 17. juni 1973 ved Holmenkollbakken.

We get the story of how Halvdan Sivertsen went from radical and narrow artist - to common property, hit-maker and entertainer. The story is crudely and humorously conveyed by Halvdan himself, with 30 of his songs.
