In 1930 Hollywood, a Spanish actor is cast in the night shoot of a soon-to-be-legendary vampire film, forced to imitate the English-speaking star who performs the same role by day. The two actors regularly meet at the transitory hours of their shoots, and a rivalry stirs between them. All the while, a string of murders are occurring on and around the soundstage.

Jason Cole is the quintessential Renaissance Man. He has a successful career, a beautiful wife, home, and prides himself on being a man of integrity and hard work as an FBI Agent. He appears to have it all. Until his past rears its head and propels him into a situation that not even he, with all of his training and expertise, could have prepared him for.

Bob Whipple (Esteban Powell) is a sportswriter who feels his life is going nowhere. When he learns that America's most beloved white rap star has been murdered, he decides to hunt down his killer by becoming... The Whip! Now, a vigilante superhero without any real superhero powers, The Whip flashes through the night rescuing those in need. His escapades lead him to his high-school girlfriend Anne (Joey Lauren Adams) now an animal-rights crusader. When she asks Bob to help her save rabbits, things start looking up. But when Bob finds out that his prime suspect in the murder has kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, he must transform into the superhero he really is... and save her life.

The dramatic short, Little Wings, explores the trauma of child abuse through the eyes of a ten-year-old boy named Thomas. In this emotional tale, Thomas learns about the Legend of the Butterfly from his mother, Emily. The Legend states that if you whisper a wish to a butterfly and then set it free, the butterfly will carry the wish off to the heavens to be granted. Thomas loves butterflies and seeks the escape he needs in the pages of his favorite butterfly book. Butterflies are his only true happiness while growing up on a farm with his abusive father. After Thomas saves a butterfly from a spider's web, a stranger arrives at the farmhouse. As the tale continues, Thomas ultimately finds his freedom and steps into the unknown world of "Joy".
