Hannah, Laure, Adrien, and Halima are students at the Regional Institute of Social Work in Paris. Four students among the fifty in the first year of training to become educational support workers. They chose this profession out of commitment and vocation. Between the classroom and their field placements, they will confront their dreams and ideals with the realities on the ground, discover new sides of themselves, and begin to shape the contours of the profession they will practice—each in their own way.

Yanie is 14 years old, and the foster family who raised her is retiring. Social services believe that her mother, who is reintegrating after a prison sentence, is not yet able to take her back. So Yanie will move into a new family, with the risk that if things don’t work out, she could end up in a care home. This is an added challenge to all the others she faces, but perhaps also a chance to break away from the old patterns that weigh down her life. The film tries to capture this moment called resilience. Amid the turmoil of her existence, Yanie will develop defense mechanisms.

The importance of the internet and social media platforms is undeniable, concerning their contribution to the freedom of speech; however, the boundaries are often overstepped under the dark cloak of anonymity.
