No such film has ever been made about Marcell Jankovics - the renowned film director, cultural historian and honored "Artist of the Nation" - which not only covers his life but also the path of the Jankovics family. Yet the story of the Jankovics family is a parabolic tale of Hungarian history over the past 100 years. Although in our film members of the Jankovics family are the ones who suffer by the events, many others have experienced similar humiliations over the past 100 years. These events of life - consciously or unconsciously - had an impact on Marcell Jankovics. Like the thousands of people who carry the traumas of their parents and grandparents in some way, whether they are aware of it or not.

The narrator delves into the origins of Hungarian culture, the Iranian and Turkish influences that impacted the society, and finally the story of Stephen, the emperor who brought Christianity to the country and shifted the capital west in an attempt to link with Europe.

Satire on the vicissitudes of a politician who should inaugurate a bridge, and the problems he finds. The inauguration of a new bridge is traditionally a big event. The orchestra play, crowds of people, kids waving flags, media. A prominent person has the honorary assignment of cutting off the red ribbon. But the band resists all attacks by scissors, knives and axes and the resolution becomes macabre and unexpected.

The film is an artistically spare depiction of the Greek myth of Sisyphus, sentenced to eternally roll a stone up a mountain. The story is presented in a single, unbroken shot, consisting of a dynamic line drawing of Sisyphus, the stone, and the mountainside.

The Devil's son steals and eats a poor woodcutter's corn cakes, so his father orders him to serve the poor man for three years.

The shopkeeper, the king and the poor man get lost in the woods one after the other. A Hedgehog rescues all three, but only after they agree to their conditions...

King becomes obliged to the Devil to give him his only daughter on her 15th birthday. When the day comes, Devil takes the Princess to hell, where she meets a young man called John. Together they decide to escape

There is a wealthy king living in a castle, who loves his only daughter very much. So much so, that he never lets her go outside. To his woe, one day the princess falls in love.
