Tóth Manci, a milliner turned dancer, meets Pali, a handsome banker, and falls madly in love. But she waits in vain for a word of encouragement from him, because he loves Lili, the belladonna. So Manci, in her grief, goes to Russia. By the time Pali realizes that he loves Manci too and wants to follow her, war breaks out, and he can only follow her as a soldier.

1938 screen adaptation of the 1904 musical version of the classic Hungarian fairy tale poem by Sándor Petőfi about the romantic adventures of Kukorica Jancsi and his beloved Iluska.

Dressed as a gypsy woman, Krisztinka Oltay spies, organizes, and takes measures to help Prince Rákóczi and free his lover, Péter Szakmáry. Péter was taken in by his brother, who was loyal to the emperor, and he wants to execute him in Kassa together with the other Kurucs. Krisztinka inspires the tired kuruc troops with a song and Rákóczi's music to capture Kassa and free the prisoners...

Az Aranyember (The Man of Gold) was based on a novel by Jokai, at one time Hungary's foremost storyteller. Set in the early 19th century, the story revolves around Timar (Ferenc Kiss), a ferryman on a Danish tugboat. Rescuing the daughter (Marisa Kormos) of a Turkish nobleman from a watery grave, Timar is rewarded with the girl's hand in marriage. Now rich beyond his wildest dreams, our hero finds he is unsatisfied; it seems he has never forgotten his true love, flower girl Noemi (Anna Fuzes). Timar is forced to suffer mightily until he is finally permitted a tender reunion with the girl of his dreams.

The ancient families of Kont and Hadhazy have long been at war with each other. Lord Cont is a supporter of Vienna's rule, while Hadhazy is a follower of the Hungarian revolutionary Kossuth. Lord plans to fight Hadhazy at an approaching county meeting. An aspiring author and the daughter of a wealthy businessman want to get married. The father of the bride agrees on one condition: his potential son-in-law's upcoming romance novel must prove to be a financial success. In order to win the bet, both men come up with their very own schemes to manipulate the book's sales numbers.

Iván Berend works with all his skills in the coal mine he inherited from his father. Fate brings him to fall in love with the beautiful Evila, the daughter of one of the miners. The millionaire grandson of entrepreneur Dénes Bartos is hired as a tutor. Gábor Horváth Horváth of Monori, a doctor, drops his Monori name and goes down to Bartos Castle as Gábor Horváth to earn money to become independent of his industrialist father. His apprentice Gyurika is not the cutest kid, it has to be said, but his sister Lilian is really beautiful... And that's enough for a romantic, peaceful film.

The archduke's grandfather wants to thwart the love between Princess Erzsébet and András Balogh, a young man of lower rank. He sends Erzsébet to Switzerland and András Balogh to Warsaw as an embassy secretary. However, Erzsébet follows András to Warsaw, where they both become embroiled in criminal complications when András has to return home with important diplomatic documents. Back home, it turns out that everything happened so that Erzsébet could soften the archduke's grandfather's heart and rescue András from the predicament he got himself into for Erzsébet's sake... The film is set in Warsaw, and the exterior shots were taken just before the outbreak of World War II, so the film still shows Warsaw intact.

Pál Völcsöky comes home from Sweden to get his uncle's heritage, the castle. The valet, Joachim informs him that all members of the Völcsöky family have a right to spend two weeks of honeymoon here.
