One day they decide to escape with the other prisoners, but they are betrayed and most of the escapees are shot. The pair of heroes are not alone, however, and on the way they are joined by a guard dog from the camp that Kim used to feed. In the coming days, Ernest leads young Kim through the unrelenting cold on his journey to freedom, teaching him that there is only one rule to follow in this time - kill or be killed.

The sun is shining, the river is sparkling, and a boating group sets off downstream for a holiday adventure. Led by the enthusiastic leader Tom, they travel down the river in two punts and a kayak. The peaceful journey is disrupted by a group of gypsies who bombard the boats from the bridge with plastic bags filled with water. That same day, the boaters and the gypsies meet again. Despite the tense atmosphere, both parties try to make peace, but it doesn't last long. The situation worsens when one of the girls loses the group's money. The boaters still want to continue their journey. Tom therefore declares a state of shipwreck, and everyone gathers together the remaining money and supplies. When some of the money is lost, suspicion falls on the gypsies, whom the boaters have met again. However, it soon turns out that the thief is someone from the group. Disputes break out, distrust grows into open hostility, and tension builds...

It is in this war that the curse is fulfilled and the tragic fate of the new king, who cannot listen to the right mouth, begins to unfold.

Prince Philip managed to sacrifice his friend's life quite easily, but it was not so easy to deal with his own conscience. Although the prince regrets his action, he does not know how to make amends. The main character of the story is a former biology teacher named Montelík, who ends up in court when he loses his temper and hits his former student, who is the son of a prominent family. After being accused of exterminating expensive nutria, he signs a bond for a considerable amount of money. He naively agrees to repay the large debt without verifying its validity. He does not have the money and decides to obtain it through currency exchange and later through theft. And so, the initially blameless young man sinks deeper and deeper...
