An annual Swedish Christmas calendar television series.

Albert & Herbert was a Swedish comedy series that ran in 1974, 1976–1979, 1981–1982, an advent series and a theatre play titled Mordet på Skolgatan 15, and had a spin-off series in 1995. Albert & Herbert, which featured father and son scrap-dealers living together, was an adaptation of Ray Galton and Alan Simpsons's BBC series Steptoe and Son from the 60s and 70s. Albert was played by Sten-Åke Cederhök, and the son Herbert played by Tomas von Brömssen. During the first six episodes, Herbert was played by Lennart Lundh. The characters lived in a dilapidated wooden house in Skolgatan 15, in Haga, Gothenburg.

Albert is obsessed with Christmas. The moment December begins, he pulls out all the holiday decorations from the attic. But his son Herbert doesn’t share the same festive spirit. Tired of Albert’s over-the-top enthusiasm, Herbert decides that this year, they’ll each celebrate Christmas their own way—separately.

The family happiness of the Ekdahls is driven towards a tragic disintegration.

It's the early 1950s and Sparvöga's father has lost his job and is suffering from tuberculosis. The whole family is forced to move back in with his parents but for Sparvöga this is the beginning of a great adventure.

This 1981 folk comedy play from Lisebergsteatern in Gothenburg returns to Skolgatan in Haga, where Herbert still hasn’t managed to move out despite countless attempts. When Albert stumbles upon his son’s diary and begins reading the embarrassing entries aloud, tensions rise—only to grow worse when a tax inspector arrives. For thirty years Albert has failed to report Herbert’s mother’s death, and the family has continued to receive a spousal deduction. Now father and son must resort to desperate and comical tricks to avoid being found out.

Rulle lives on his family's farm in the province of Bohuslän with his parents, sister, grandmother, and grandfather. Throughout December, he experiences life in the countryside, where Christmas preparations, traditions, and encounters with the local community take center stage.
