Two historical incidents that deepened the friendship between Japan and Turkey are connected in this story of friendship and compassion: In the night of 16 September 1890 the Turkish frigate Ertuğrul is caught up in a typhoon and sinks off the Japanese coast. Risking their own lives, local villagers are able to rescue 69 Turkish sailors. Although being very poor and having hardly to eat, the villagers share what little they have with strangers from a country 9,000 kilometers away. 95 years later, during the Iran-Iraq War, more than 300 Japanese are stranded in Tehran. In the morning of 19 March 1985 a Turkish Airlines aircraft takes off for Tehran to evacuate the Japanese. But the remaining Turks at Tehran Mehrabad Airport still need to be convinced that they won't be able to board their own country's rescue flight.

The film is a slapstick action comedy about company employees, known as "underground employees," who secretly handle problems that cannot be solved in public. The story unfolds when the group receives a mission to demolish a shuttered shopping district in order to build a commercial complex. Also appearing in the film are underground employees of rival companies with the same mission, a large landowner who is the target of both companies, a passionate man trying to revive a shopping district that is on the verge of collapse, and a man with some kind of secret.

His late father was the CEO of a sound equipment company in Kagawa Prefecture. Midori Yamabuki meets her childhood friend Kazuyuki Ogawa (Yuta Hiraoka). He brings back memories which Midori Yamabuki wants to forget. The memory is of an audition she took in Tokyo as a child. Everybody at the audition laughed at her because she is tone deaf. Somehow, Midori Yamabuki falls in love with Takuto Kurita, but Takuto Kurita’s mother requires a condition to be met before they can become part of her family. This drives Midori Yamabuki into despair.

Okajima, a senior at Toridesaka University who has dedicated himself to the sport of bouldering, is facing a crisis. With his graduation imminent, he is the only member of the bouldering club. It needs at least seven members to stay in existence.
