Solid Gold Hits is a greatest hits collection by Beastie Boys, released in November 2005. In contrast to 1999's The Sounds of Science anthology, Solid Gold Hits consists only of tracks that were released as singles. Where The Sounds of Science is a double CD compilation, Solid Gold Hits contains one CD with all their singles that broke gold, plus a DVD with the respective videos of the songs. Although the standard US release of the CD/DVD has 15 songs, the Japanese release has the song and video for "Right Right Now Now" as the last song.

Just for Kicks is a 2005 documentary film about the sneaker phenomena and history. It includes self confessed "sneakerheads" like Grandmaster Caz, Reverend Run, and Missy Elliott. It tells the story of the legendary Nike Air Force One's, or as they are called in New York "Uptowns." Also about the beginning of Air Jordans. The documentary also tells the story of how hip-hop pioneers DJ Run, Jam Master Jay, and DMC had everyone wearing Adidas Superstars with their smash hit "My Adidas."

The Beastie Boys played a legendary headlining set at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 12, 2009. Unbeknownst to the crowd at the time, this 90-minute performance would go down in history as the trio's final concert ever, due to the cancer diagnosis of Adam 'MCA' Yauch. The cancer proved far more aggressive than anyone had thought, taking Adam’s life in May 2012, less than three years after the diagnosis. The group’s concert at Bonnaroo remains a testament to the brilliance of MCA and the strength of the Beastie Boys as a unit. The 90-minute appearance saw the group deliver a career-spanning set covering everything from Ill Communication to Check Your Head and Hello Nasty. Midway through the set, Nas arrived onstage to perform a rendition of ‘Too Many Rappers’ from the Beastie Boy’s then-forthcoming LP Hot Sauce Committee, which was eventually released in 2011, a year after Adam’s passing.

The Beastie Boys' Final Performance before Yauch was diagnosed with early-stage parotid cancer and all tours, festivals, music video production, and album releases were halted. Yauch halted these thinking that he would eventually be cured of this disease and be able to resume production, but on May 4th 2012, Yauch passed away.

Infatuated with the idea of becoming rich, college student Jonathan Corliss secretly dates Dorothy Carlsson to gain the approval of her wealthy father.
