Marisol (Alejandra Herrera) is caught between her possessive and aggressive cousin, Mauro (Eduardo Mendizábal), and passionate but inert lover, Mundo (Noé Hernández). Violence is a constant presence in their rural Mexican town, with gangs and guerilla fighters a steady presence. When Mundo has to flee, their connection turns from physical to digital even when Marisol is held captive by her cousin. Their communication via text, voicemail, and video is sporadic and frustrating, but is nevertheless a source of comfort, and their longing remains intense despite the distance. When Mundo returns, the stakes for Marisol are even higher, and it's no longer a question of whether things will come to a head, but how and when. Might their desire and desperation ultimately play to her advantage?

La Güera is forced to turn to one of her associates to get him back, revealing a dark secret.

About to turn 30, and in a troubled relationship with his girlfriend, Memo decides to try LSD for the first time in hopes that a psychedelic trip provides him with the answers he so desperately needs. The several different story lines concern hooker Lola (Dolores Heredia); her drug addict son Fede (Diego Luna); her friend Zeze (Zaide Silvia Gutierrez); Zeze's daughter Susana (Jimena Ayala); and junkie Vicente (Roberto Sosa). The film narrates the discovery of the last great Mayan city, which occurred during the spring of 1946. It is the story of Charles Frey, a smuggler of archaeological pieces who upon hearing some legends about the immense riches that the jungle regions of southeastern Mexico keep, decides to go looking for him. After several months and a point of giving up, Frey detects some archaeological evidence of the Mayan culture, so he continues his explorations until he finds the majestic city of Bonampak.

At one last attempt to get back together, a separated couple discovers just how far apart they’ve grown. He still clings to the idea of a conventional family, while she has already stepped into another life: living on her own, committed to her work, and unwilling to give up control over her body or her convictions.

The Mexican painter Francisco Goitia, feeling his death approaching, manages to make a memory of his life: the reunion with his country and his people, his permanent search for identity as a man and as an artist and his struggle against the demons of the body and his subsequent religious conversion.

The film got its inspiration from a real life character that killed policemen in the streets. The film narrates just how this man was pushed to committing crime.

Luz is in jail, accused of murdering her own children. Her husband and her mother-in-law say she killed them in cold blood. Dr. Rebollar tries to help the woman, but she refuses to remember anything. Luz thinks of jail as the purgatory: it's only one step to reach the Heaven.

Maria escapes from prison. On the run, she breaks her ankle. Julian, a truck driver, finds her sitting at the roadside, crying. He picks her up and takes her to a hospital. On her first chance, Maria flees again and goes to a hotel, where she ends up as a prostitute. She frequents bars and saloons, commits some robberies, but neither sex, nor the tequila, can replace love.

Rodrigo Zaracho, once a promising boxer, is in decline. While fleeing from a gang that is chasing him, he remembers his past.

Miser Ebenezer Scrooge is awakened on Christmas Eve by spirits who reveal to him his own miserable existence, what opportunities he wasted in his youth, his current cruelties, and the dire fate that awaits him if he does not change his ways.
