In this experimental blend of film, theater, and music, Suzanne Vega reinterprets two talks Carson McCullers gave at the 92nd St. Y in NYC. During the first, in 1942, she drinks her way through the lecture, revealing messy romances and illnesses. In the second, 25 years later, she confronts her mortality, reminiscing on her novel and play The Member of The Wedding; also on her twice failed marriage and romances of both sexes, ending on the credo she forged with her husband. Agape love matters in this life, not Erotic. Ironically, Carson McCullers, despite her compassion, is destined to solitude.

About the poet C.A.Conrad, an eccentric Elvis worshiping poet and tarot card reader, who confronts his violent past and the suspicious death of his boyfriend, Earth. The film attempts to unravel the mystery of Earth's death, while Conrad wrestles with his inner demons through a series of unconventional rituals and a tour of the deep South.

What will or should become of them in the next fifty years? Compelled by her family’s four-generation legacy at Barnard College, Daniella Kahane (BC ’05) explores the relevance of women’s colleges today, specifically through understanding the history of Barnard College and the changing role of women during the twentieth century.
