Jutta and Eric were once lovers and aspiring chefs in the Spree Forest region of East Germany. Too prone too brilliant but risky improvisation, Jutta fell into obscurity; Eric defected to the West and became famous. Now he has returned to enlist her aid of crucial cooking contest - does this portend rekindled romance or cynical exploitation?

The blind psychologist Tom Leschek and the therapist Jessica van der Laan are after their first successful mission, a team that is again requested when a suicide wants to plunge from a skyscraper. The young woman was held captive for months in a basement prison by arms dealer Hübner as a slave. Tom tries to convince the desperate not to jump. When she flees again and shoots Hübner, she takes Tom hostage.

Inspector Rolf Spiekermann is committed and successful, but has many enemies in Hamburg's underworld and little time for his family. Blind psychologist Tom Leschek accidentally witnesses a heavily armed SEK policeman running amok and barricading himself in a supermarket with his daughter. The policeman's ex-wife was supposed to take the girl by court order that day. Leschek uses his cell phone to get in touch with the police, who use the blind man as a mediator and advisor in this emergency situation.

Zum letzten Kliff is a German remake of Fawlty Towers. 11 of the 12 original episodes were remade by RTL (series 1 finale "The Germans" remaining unadapted due to its mocking of German people and frequent references to World War II). It was the only remake to consult John Cleese, the writer and title role of the original series. Apart from the pilot, no other episode was ever aired and it's reported that John Cleese made a cameo in one of the unaired episodes.
