A rescue of the history of Ipanema beach in the 1970s, when the construction of a pier changed the landscape and created fertile soil for a generation of artists and sportsmen.

Successful businessman, Paulo Chupadinha send his wife to a convent every year to really enjoy Brazil’s carnival. He meets a cabaret woman that wants to make a show in his little nd peaceful village. For that, however, she will have to seduce every important man of the city: the police chief, the priest and the mayor.

Through performatic acts and some exposition, a group of poets of that 1980's generation make great use of words, poems and rebellious acts criticizing the then current generation and its lack of admiration for the poetic works that were being created.

Film adaptation of the TV Show in 1994, based on the novel of the same name by Érico Veríssimo. During a general strike in the city of Antares, gravediggers refuse to carry out burials, to increase pressure on employers. During the night, however, the dead claim the right to be buried.
