Teenage dropouts Adam and Tommek pass their days hanging out and drinking in their grim housing complex, but as grinding boredom combines with Adam's need to prove himself and Tommek's penchant for petty crime, the two make a bet that plunges them into shocking and sudden violence.

This period was marked by the struggle of the Communists against the ever stronger National Socialists and the rise of Adolf Hitler.

It seems as if Lena is a Sunday child: successful in her job and heiress to a hotel. What is strange, however, is that she doesn't know the man who left her a legacy in his will.
