A disenchanted young shepherd's world is torn apart when his father is unjustly incarcerated for a murder he didn't commit.

After his resurrection, Christ stayed on the Earth with Peter and now he is old. In the streets of Cagliari he finds a young whistler who lost intonation. He would like to help him but he does not remember how to make miracles anymore, so, he seeks the help of a costly charlatan. The last miracle will happen in front of the sea: the whistle will come back in tune but nothing will ever be the same.

Jimmy is an 18-year-old boy who is dissatisfied with his life in a small town in Sardinia. He feels he has nothing in common with those who live around him and soon turns to crime, ending up in a reformatory. But it is precisely within those walls, surrounded by reassuring hills, that Jimmy seems to have the chance to redeem himself...
