In the near future, a space station dubbed Earth II is built for the purpose of scientific research and world peace. This pilot for the TV series stars Pernell Roberts as Jim Conrad, who runs an airport, much to the chagrin of his boss, "his way." In this, two plots run - a kid whose parents are splitting up decides to take off in a little red prop plane (and Conrad talks him down), and thieves played by the handsome Tab Hunter and his truly ugly sidekicks try to steal a money shipment. Roberts was replaced by Lloyd Bridges when the show went to series.

Jolted out of his self-pity by a friend who teaches him to ski, a wounded Vietnam vet comes to look on his double amputation not as a "handicap" but rather "just a little inconvenience."

Prince Stephan's death has been faked by General Sabattini; leaving Stephan's childlike cousin Nicolai as sovereign. Sabattini is forcing Stefan's fiancée Francesca into marrying him, placing him in line to the throne. Phelps joins a group of Dutch tourists while the rest of the team infiltrate the royal palace as a magic act led by Paris. Before the show begins Barney loots the royal vault. It's the beginning of a complex scheme to rescue Stephan, Nicolai, Francesca and simultaneously eliminate Sabatini.
