After a long absence abroad, young Asian American woman Raffi Tang is called home when her estranged mother is murdered. She becomes increasingly drawn into a web of deception and incompetence while at the same time dealing with her own grief.

A mosaic film of three stories in three different Asian cities where the paths of the rich and poor cross one another in and around taxis. A closeted Beijing cab driver tries to seduce a rich passenger, a Hong Kong pregnant trophy wife starts to develop feelings for her new Indonesian maid and a Jakarta slum orphan becomes infatuated with a Western female backpacker. All three characters desperately want to connect on a basic human level but are their own worst obstacle.

A young Dutch boy goes on a boy's night out with his friends in Amsterdam for a night of sex, drugs and rock and roll. But an expected encounter with a sex worker shows him something he could have never imagined.

Examines the paradox of a handsome male model who feels ashamed, ugly and emasculated in America because of his Asian ethnicity.
