A gang of friends lose their club house and collect money for a new one by singing in public.

Calle Lundgren is a shop assistant and spends most days as errand boy for Nisse and flirting with the ladies, especially a girl called Amanda. One day Calle read in the newspaper that he is the sole heir to a Swedish American millionaire who has just died.

"How crazy!" A man and a woman watch episodes from Nils Poppe movies outside a cinema Maxim in Stockholm. Poppe represents, among other things, a poor composer who vainly tries to get a tune adopted by a publisher. The failure makes him depressed, but he is living it up by meeting a good friend Calle, who invites him home. Poppe stays for a few days as a male housewife. Calle has a music store and there the two friends can go crazy among all the instruments.

At a restaurant, the coats of flea expert Professor Loris and Lieutenant Juncker are mixee up. Thus Juncker finds the professor's notes for the next day, and makes a bet with his cronies that he should be able to carry out the professor's daily program without being exposed.

About the conspiracy against the Swedish entrepeneur Ivar Kreuger. Presented through his secretary as a strictly busy, very wealthy man, involved in important international transactions. Ministers from all over the world stand in line to visit him. The Kreuger shares are in high demand. Germany needs a $ 125 million loan. Bank director Ryder suggests that secret forces want to stop this loan. Ted Harris, an American rogue, wants to sell secret papers from Wall Street on plots against Kreuger. The French minister and an international Soviet agent, Brody, also visit Kreuger regarding the loans. Kreuger shares are dropping around the world. The firm Nathan and Kohn contributes to dumping Kreuger shares after a bribe of SEK 25,000. Ordinary savers are ruined.

Theatre director Freddy Alsterberg has failed with his latest operetta. He decides to work his way over the Atlantic. His niece Tusse also stows away on the ship disguised as a boy.

Dante, the great conjurer, performs at the Café Grans, a fashionable hotel-restaurant. Face to a dumbfound patrons he does his most famous tricks among which card manipulations or sawing a woman in half.

Gunnar Gawell is mason on a building but also a very good football player. He gets a chance to play for the the national team against Denmark. Gunnar is offered a bribe if he allows the Danish team to win the match.

Swedish movie from 1939. In summer Stockholm live the unemployed musician Nisse trying to sell the songs to music publishers. One day the treasurer of a prominent publisher is arrested, on suspicion of theft of 10,000 crowns from a cash box. Nisse has, however, seen something suspicious.

Gustav lives in Värnamo. He constructs a new boat engine, but needs time to complete it. The work has been financed by factory director "Hatt-Johan" Johansson who would like to sell the invention. Gustav's father returns from the United States and everyone thinks he's become a millionaire.

The rich Baron Von Meislingen dreams of being a poet-- Unfortunately, he has no talent what so ever. In one of his apartments lives the talented but poor poet Peter Långhår. Von Meislingen steals his latest work from him and publishes it under his own name. 'His' poems becomes a success and Von Meislingen becomes regarded as one of the greatest living poets.

Lisa Larsson, dancer at a theater, witnesses a traffic accident and banker Brenner's private driver asks her to be a witness. When her friends see her talk to the driver, they start to believe that she is Brenner's fiancée. The manager of the theater, Gravander, gives her the leading part in his latest show, in order to befriend Brenner. Conscript Fridolf and his sergeant, Göransson, both try to win the love of sweet Mary. According to an older relative's last will, she will inherit a fortune if she marries the unfortunate Dick Carter. A con man comes to the little town, claiming to be the legitimate Carter.

Proud Katrina falls in love with Johan, who's a sailor, and follows him home to the island of Åland. She has been promised a paradise with blooming apple trees but are greeted by poverty and hard work.
