In the middle of the 1800s Swedish prince Gustaf meets the actress Anna Maria Wastenius and falls in love with her, but it is an impossible love story due to the rules of society.

The year is 1941 and Nazi Germany is at its peak. Hitler's army is storming into Russia. Sweden stands lonely and isolated while the air force is training intensely due to a coming attack. The squadron leader pushes his men at its hardest. It's a constant game with death where death unfortunately often wins.

The chamberlain Carl Johan Stjärna is a poor aristocrat who has to resort to borrowing money from his manservant Frans to afford champagne and restaurant visits. Frans has told his fiance Irene that he is an aristocrat which leads to some complications, not least because Irene has told Frans she is a rich land owner's daughter, although she is in a housemaid.

Holger Hallman, CEO of a weapons factory try to prevent his son Tom from dating a manucurist, Lydia. By mistake he try to pay off the wrong manicurist, Mary, who by coincidence has a fiancé named Tom.

Sonja is a spoiled young lady who thinks she can get anything for money. She is living a life in luxury. One day she meets a lawyer who is a public prosecutor. They fall in love.

It's Walpurgis Night in Uppsala. The students sing the Student Song, put on their white caps, cheer and have drinks.

Greta Garbo in her first feature "Luffar-Petter" (Petter The Tramp) 1922. Only a 10-minute fragment of the film has survived. She plays one of the three daughters of a fireman who is robbed by the vagrant Peter. The two leading male roles—the fireman and the vagrant—are played by Eric Petschler, who is also the film's director and screenwriter.

Slipper hero Ernst Rolf is married to a real Xantippa and also has concerns with the economy, so when the superintendent is shirking his home. In town, he meets his friend Boman and accompanies him to the Opera Terrace. There, he laments that the sweet woman he once married has turned into a bitch. He fantasizes about other women (who dances in his mind in trick photography on the terrace table). Boman decides to help him by writing a letter, in which Rolf called to a meeting in Jönköping. The idea is to Rolf with this pretext to escape from home and be able to amuse themselves on Hasselbackens masquerade next evening.

A man buys a pair of galoshes at an auction and discovers they are magic, and can take the wearer wherever he wishes. He travels with a friend on an adventurous trip around the world.
