The story follows Commander-in-Chief Mannerheim and Quartermaster General Airo at the Finnish Defense Forces headquarters in Mikkeli during the decisive moments of the Continuation War in the summer of 1944. With a major offensive on the Karelian Isthmus imminent, Airo gives the order to attack without consulting the commander-in-chief.

On a road trip across Finland, Jari stops in a small town where he meets Marja. The young people continue their journey together all the way to Haaparanta, until a police raid reveals that Jari's car is stolen. Their escape takes them even further north, where they team up with a gold miner.

A ragtag team of cleaners tackles absurdly dangerous jobs - explosions, devastating water damage, and “impossible” stains - while dreaming of escaping poverty and enjoying holidays in the sun.

The company's regional manager has had enough of the fast pace of business and the frivolous patterns. He leaves the office sauna for a booze run at the behest of his boss. Drunk and driving his own car, even he doesn't have to. The situation becomes a thrilling chase that ends in a breathalyzer test and all-round relief as things fall into place. The booze run becomes a turning point in the life of the group's regional manager.

An existential road movie based on Veijo Meri's novel Peiliin piirretty nainen (The Woman in the Mirror, 1963), following the life of a taxi driver from one evening to the next morning.

Ritva Hakala the single parent of a little boy is working in the office. While Ritva talks lightly about men and her future plans with other women at the office and coffees, she has to avoid her jealous and violent ex-husband, who threatens a relationship with her new male friend Kale.

Mirja finds her grandmother's old hat in the attic and sets off singing along the road with it on her head. On her journey, she meets composer couple Theodor and Thea Tekonen and gets a ride from hat maker Kosonen and his son Ilmari, who falls in love with Mirja. However, the girl continues her journey alone and, with the help of the circus troupe leader, gets to perform at Linnanmäki, where Ilmari finds her again.
