A Russian Literature professor at the University of Havana is ordered to work as a translator for child victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster when they are sent to Cuba for medical treatment. Based on a true story.

Elzė returns to Lithuania from Switzerland for a vacation. She rents a cozy farmhouse in a remote village, hoping to find peace and inspiration for her painting. However, the idyllic peace is disturbed by Nojus. Their budding friendship soon sparks passion, and their love is intertwined with desire, longing, and fear. Elzė's past haunts her—she is being pursued by her ex-boyfriend. Will these two passion-driven people be able to overcome the shadows of the past and simply love each other?

Brought together in these extreme circumstances, what starts as mistrust develops into love, marriage and ultimately murder. In the end, the Shomer is able to find peace after a lifetime of regret by fulfilling a promise he made to the young Leah on their last night together. ~ Naomi Jaye.
