In the film we see Van Gaal in his colorful life; not only his career, but also his background, family life and passions. For three years, the current national coach was filmed during work and private moments. In conversations with national and international soccer stars, but also with his wife and daughters, a complete picture emerges of the development of the Van Gaal phenomenon, his unprecedented career and the remarkable man behind the much-discussed image.

In April 2014, Dutch climbers start an expedition the sixth highest mountain in the world. Investigative journalist Geertjan Lassche closely follows the group. How ruthless do you need to be? And are these mountain climbers really as arrogant as they seem to be? The closer the group gets to the top, the more we learn about all kinds of universal dilemmas. And then, even the mountain itself turns against the climbers.

How was the Second World War experienced in Rouveen, Overijssel? This Orthodox Christian village near Staphorst was self-sufficient during the war. And largely isolated from the outside world. The last eyewitnesses of the war, the children of that time, are now all very old. In the Duutsers, residents of the Overijssel village of Rouveen talk movingly openly about their war memories to fellow villager and filmmaker Geertjan Lassche. Their stories are interspersed with historical video fragments and photos from the past. This is how an honest child's view of growing up in a rural village unfolds. How did the war come to the village? Who is that stranger in the village in front of them, that German? And in what those of other strangers? When does unrest arise, and unrest in fear of hatred? What about the Jewish labor camps in the village and how did they view the Canadian liberators?

For three years, documentary filmmaker Geertjan Lassche followed the strong-willed farmer Heijmen Brouwer (61) from Leusden, who, slogging through dung and mud and assisted by his 77-year-old half-blind hand Hendrik, steers his shabby farm along the Dutch legislation and rules. Then, on New Year's Eve 2006, farmer Brouwer decides he has had it with his fatherland's control freakery. 'One half of Holland controls the other half. I'm completely fed up.' Brouwer wants to emigrate to France, taking along his livestock (which fits in two huge trucks), Hendrik and his girlfriend.
