Max Hansen and Willi Schur play two small-time criminals who steal dogs from their owners in the hope that they will get a reward. When the police catches them at their 'work', Hansen flees and gets into the apartment of Jenny Jugo, who takes a liking to the man and pretends that he's her boyfriend. Her landlady isn't amused, and so our heroine loses her rooms and moves in with Hansen. The two of them soon become lovebirds, of course. But when they later go to an entertainment park and Jugo takes part in a beauty contest, trouble arises...

Reinhold Schünzel plays the rigid representative Traugott Bellmann, who publicly condemns the low morals of the night life. Although Belmann's stance is supported by his wife, he is strongly opposed by his father-in-law, a champagne manufacturer. But when he inherits 500 000 Marks in cash and the infamous nightclub "Der Himmel auf Erden" ("Heaven on Earth") from his deceased brother, Bellmann really gets himself into trouble: In order to fulfil his brother's will - and to get hold of the money - , he has to be at the club every night at 9 pm.

Bill's girlfriend Lore is an art student in Berlin. Since her professor doesn't think much of painting women, she exchanges a genuine Raphael painting in a gallery for a copy made by her. In a spectacular theft, the copy is stolen. Detective Keller suspects Bill and Lore. But Bill, who is a talented quick-change artist, keeps escaping arrest by constantly altering his appearance.

Tea Time in the Ackerstrasse is a 1926 German silent drama film directed by Paul L. Stein and starring Reinhold Schünzel, Mary Nolan and Fritz Kampers. The film's sets were designed by Otto Erdmann and Hans Sohnle.

It was not just the children who were treated badly by the wealthy Weimar republic. Robert Kramer is released from prison but struggles to adjust to civilian life. His father disowns him, his wife has left him for another man. There is no work. He eventually arrives in a shelter for the homeless, and seeks salvation through Emma, a prostitute.

The story of Brennende Grenze (= Burning Border) starts after the end of WWI. Polish franctireurs invade the German bordering regions which are to be given to Poland as agreed on in the post-war peace treaties. Luise von Willkühnen's manor is invaded by Ladislaus von Zeremski, his lover Nadja and their gang. They treaten the inhabitants until Luise's son kills Zeremski.

When Ilona visits her married friend Otti, she is just delighted to discover that the man she likes is not other than Otti's brother-in-law, Paul. As he is in need of a maid, she disguises herself as such to try to enamour him.
