The world-famous woodblock artist Hokusai (1760-1849), a widower in need of a steady income, lives with his daughter Oei in the house of his friend Bakin.

A retelling of Dragon Ball's origin with a different take on the meeting of Goku, Bulma, and Kame-Sen'nin. It also retells the Red Ribbon Army story; but this time they find Goku rather than Goku finding them.

His goal is to help the weak and defenseless, but his saving a mouse makes him the most wanted in all the land. On the run from incessant, dim-witted mice, Perro befriends a young miller's boy, Pierre; together, they decide to seek fame and fortune. Story teller Kinya Aikawa serves as a guide in this horror drama series, which is presented in an omnibus format with two stories each based on the stories of people who have experienced horror. Kanako (Yasuko Sawaguchi) looks through the viewfinder of a second-hand camera she bought and sees a boy with a look of hatred on his face staring back at her. When she looks up, the boy is gone, and when she looks through the viewfinder again, she sees the boy staring back at her. Kanako is now haunted by the spirit of the boy and the adults who are close to him....

Hoping to romance an alien, Momojiro meets beautiful animal trainer Eriko instead. Then he and Jonathan get drawn into her old friend's fraud.

A young woman moves in with her estranged father after her mother passes away.

Katsura Aya (Shiratori Yasuyo), a young and popular actress, is kidnapped. Igarashi (Honda Hirotaro), the president of the production company, calls Totsukawa (Mihashi Tatsuya) and Kamei (Aikawa Kinya) of the police. Totsukawa and Kamei learn that the kidnapper's name is Aoi Hebi (Blue Snake) and that Aoi Hebi is asking for one million yen for ransom.

While returning from a business trip to Hokkaido, Detective Kamei of the MPD greets a middle-aged traveler in the waiting room of Minami-Wakkanai Station but is ignored by him. On the limited express to Asahikawa, the same man happens to entrust Kamei with a floppy disk before dying. The floppy contains his investigative notes on a murder that happened two years ago...

Biographical story, based on life of Ino Tadataka, a Japanese measurer and cartographer. Ino Tadataka travelled the length and breadth of Japan on foot for 17 years from the age of 55 to perform his surveys. The accuracy of his maps also owed much to the fact that he was the first surveyor in Japan to combine measurements on the ground with observations of the heavens. Ino started the work as a private individual but earned the confidence of the Shogunate and it eventually turned into a national project. His maps were later used for many years as the foundation for maps made by modern survey techniques.
