Tens of millennia ago, eight gods who ceaselessly fought each other were exiled to earth. For generations, they have been reincarnated as mere mortals, and they won't be allowed back to heaven until they've learned to coexist in harmony. Then in today's Hong Kong, a mortuary beautician and her has-been singer dad are chased for a huge sum of money they don't owe. Turns out her materialistic stepmom has taken a tycoon's advance payment on the false promise of organizing a concert that she can't deliver. The family is therefore forced to go on the run, and along the way they meet an assortment of quirky people, including a mute baker, a kung fu cab driver, an aspiring musician and her crafty sidekick. Through a series of comic misadventures, the seven of them come to realize that they used to be gods and have a mission in this life, but...who is the eighth god that has yet to rejoin them?

Kong Ping has a half brother Kong Shek, a playboy, and another brother Kong Fai, who was adopted by her parents, and is an honest doctor, single. A couple of lover comes to the family Christmas party -- Fan Lin and Daisy Ha. Fan Lin maintains sexual relations with Daisy Ha, but marries Kong Ping, just for better future. As an avenger, Daisy Ha marries Kong Fai. Still, she maintains an affair with Fan Lin. Meanwhile, Kong Shek courts Daisy Ha constantly. The two gradually develop love between themselves.

Beijing is the place where dreams come true or at least that’s what a group of young and ambitious people from different parts are hoping for. Romance could be in their future but also heartbreak as well, leading them to question just where they stand in such a city. Will they find the career and partner of their dreams or have to make a choice between one of the other?

Superband is a mandopop band formed by 4 veteran singers Lo Ta-yu, Jonathan Lee, Wakin Chau and Chang Chen-yue. The group was formed in 2008.[1] In total they have released over 70 albums in their individual careers, 600 main compositions and more than 350 individual concerts. After giving twenty performances around the world, the band held their final concert in the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, USA on Feb 22nd, 2010. Afterwards they resumed their individual careers
