The Czech revival movement is divided at the end of the first half of the 19th century. A report on the revolutionary events in Paris prompts Czech Prague residents to write down the demands of the Czech nation for self-determination and the proclamation of a constitution. Tensions peak during the All-Slavic Congress in Prague's Žofín. Vienna rejects the Czech demands and the congress is brutally dispersed by the Austrian police. Prague begins to build barricades...

Adam Kavalír returns from abroad to take over the family factory from his father. A comedy about a grandmother who raises her granddaughter Jarmila according to the rules of the old days. Only her second granddaughter, a university student Jiřina, makes the dignified old lady not only change her views on youth, but also teaches her to hike, say "Hello!" and shoot a bow. In the end, however, circumstances force the grandmother to abandon her slightly eccentric life and return to her old ways...

The troubles of a young married couple with an overprotective mother and mother-in-law. Usually it ends with a wedding, but this time it begins. Young doctor Petr Dvořák marries the charming Marta Hábová. However, their honeymoon to Venice is unexpectedly complicated by Martina's widowed mother, a rich, kind, but very absent-minded lady. First, they are not allowed to cross the border because they did not declare the things she secretly packed for them for the trip, and then they spend the night behind bars because the mother-in-law, in her absent-mindedness, reports the secretly packed things as stolen after she catches a pair of robbers in her house. It is no wonder that the young marriage is soon shaken to its foundations...

Two young composers offer their operetta in vain - it is rejected before anyone reads it. By a coincidence, when its text ends up in the wrong briefcase, it ends up with a popular singer who, on the contrary, likes it very much, but has no idea who wrote the play... The search for the authors, personality confusion and budding love become the main plot elements of this pleasantly naive film, where there is constant singing.

Successful writer Gabriel Anděl still loves his wife Lola very much, but he can't stand the way she is always getting involved in his work, so he decides to divorce her. Just as he is about to move into his country villa, a police inspector appears on the scene with a warning that some crooks are planning to sell the house in question to a rich Czech-American. Anděl and the inspector immediately drive there and indeed find a gang of criminals disguised as servants. However, these are far from the only crooks involved in this complicated case. Before the crazy night is over, Gabriel and Lola will have many more surprises and complicated situations...
