Roger Hudson, a wealthy businessman who has moved to Washington to work for the government as a "dollar a year man," is late for a radio broadcast about his new department, the Mobilization of Woman Power for War. He takes a cab driven by Dixie Dugan, who hopes that being a cabbie while the country's men are away fighting will help the war effort. Her incompetent driving, however, results in an accident for which Roger must take responsibility in order to reach the radio station in time. Dixie then returns home, where she lives with her father Timothy, who is constantly practicing his air raid warden duties, her mother Gladys, an aspiring Red Cross worker, and cousin Imogene, who studies incessantly to become a "quiz kid." The Dugans rent out their spare rooms to Dixie's fiancé, Matt Hogan, and to blustering Judge J. J. Lawson. Matt, who works in a munitions factory, wants Dixie to settle down and marry him, but Dixie is determined to help her country.

Billy and Andy impersonate two ice-delivery men in a suburban town. Billy takes a fancy to a newly-wed bride and most of his loose cash is liquidated as he flirts with her. Her husband is not pleased at Billy's attentions to his new bride. There is a skating contest at the local ice-rink, and the bride, her mother and her husband are in attendance, as are Billy and Andy, the icemen.

Ben Turpin, a self-proclaimed "lady killer" finds himself in a difficult romantic predicament. Currently engaged to a woman described as a "gold-digger" (played by Madeleine Hurlock), Ben decides he must first end his relationship with his former lover, a showgirl and theater dancer named Alma Bennett.

Billy Judkins is a naturally gloomy Gus. His life changes when he is transferred from working in his company's Hoboken office to their Hollywood office. He is going to drive there with his wife and mother. Along the way, they encounter Mr. Pinkney and his new bride, who too are heading west. Their misadventures together and meeting up with a band of marauding Indians may prevent any of them from reaching their intended destination. If Billy and Mr. Pinkney ever make it to Hollywood, they're both in a for a big surprise.

A wife, tired of her husband's non-stop carousing, sues him for divorce. The judge, however, comes up with a novel solution--he makes the husband take his wife's place in the household--including dressing like her--for 30 days to see what it's like to be his wife.

An island princess falls in love with a young man whose picture she sees in the newspaper. Her father, the king, sends his agents to the U.S. to kidnap the man and bring him back to the islands to marry his daughter. Complications ensue.

A pretty harem girl is rescued by a U. S. Navy officer. Whilst fleeing from the guards the girl takes refuge in the rooms of the notorious Rodney St. Clair, an erring Knight, who is proud of his long list of feminine conquests. But the Navy officer again comes to her rescue, and Sir Rodney is left to marry the harem's fattest woman after she puts a love potion in his drink.

To bypass the quota, Kitty slips past a gateman by joining a Jewish family she befriended on the voyage. She is eventually taken in by Papa Levy (Max Davidson), who has since become a successful American citizen. Kitty came to America to reunite with her childhood sweetheart, Eddie (Eddie Quillan), who sent letters claiming to be a "big man in the shoe business". Upon finding Eddie, Kitty discovers he is merely a corner bootblack who has forgotten his Irish roots for a "fancy dame" named Rosa Cremona. Seeking fame, Eddie enters an Amateur Night contest at a local theater as a dancer. His performance is a disaster; he is pelted with vegetables by the audience, ruining a dress suit lent to him by Papa Levy. Realizing Eddie's foolishness, Kitty turns her romantic interests toward Danny (Danny O'Shea), a handsome New York police officer and "true son of Erin".

A Billy Bevan slapstick comedy short.

Chester and Vernon are a couple of loafers who find a dollar and treat themselves to a meal, unaware that the dollar has fallen out of their money pouch. They must eat and run, and the plot escalates to an all out train chase in the best slapstick fashion.

Comedy about a man who, reluctantly, spends an evening with his wife at home rather then going out drinking with his friend. When that friend later mistakes the wife for the girl he's been carousing with, it all gets a bit messy.
