Eight very different couples deal with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London.

Giulia tells Joseph she came to Lisbon to try to find a mysterious Portuguese singer who her father had a relationship with in Lisbon before he left to fight for the Portuguese in their colonial war.

It is inspired by the true story of the girls and women of a Ukrainian family forced to find rescue from the war. Although... War can never truly be escaped.

Lúcia is a lawyer that works to help women whose the father of the relationship deny the paternity. A job she is very keen about since she doesn't know who her father is.
