Set in the period of the Turkish War of Independence, the film depicts the smuggling of arms and ammunition from Istanbul to Ankara.it is also an intelligent, brilliantly written multiple character study with rich psychological depth.

The film tells the story of a soldier's struggle for freedom against the sultan. Hasan graduates first in his class from the Military Academy. When he returns home, he learns that his father will be executed for being a supporter of freedom. He takes revenge on the governor who ordered the execution. However, he is wounded while fleeing from the soldiers. Gypsies passing by hide Hasan and help him. Hasan and his friends will attempt to unite the scattered forces in the mountains and establish a regular army for the cause of freedom.

Sevistigimiz Gunler is a typical socio-economic story of three roommate girls in their early 20s' who are hoping to find their Prince Charmings.
