This one was remade at least four more times by 1940.

In 1877, thieves Ace Beaudry, Bronco Dawson and Bull Stanley head West together after having each been betrayed by a woman. Before they can steal the horses, however, the wagon is attacked by a gang led by Layne Hunter, a shifty saloon owner from Custer. The trio chase off the gang, and as they are about to abscond with the horses, they find pretty Lee Carleton, whose father was killed in the attack.

Thinking that Grace knows the location of her grandfather's money, Fitzgerald later tries by force to make her talk.

This reawakens the girl's interests and she forgets about the sheik qualities of the other cowboy as played by Morrison.

A child picked up on the desert by the cowboy hero is brought to town on the eve of prohibition enforcement. The child is put to bed and is laboring with the Lord's prayer when he sticks at "kingdom come." The cowboy goes into the saloon and asks if anyone there knows what comes after "kingdom come." He is greeted with much laughter and no information. A dancer who turns out to be the mother of the child, which has been living with its grandfather, repeats the words of the prayer, and the child goes to sleep in peace. A romance between the cowboy and the dancer develops.
