Swayamvara Panthal movie tells the story of Deepu (Jayaram) who is the pet and indispensable brother of his five sisters. They need him right from taking their children for an outing to replacing gas cylinders and buying cosmetics. Deepu on his part is only too glad to be of help and thus has a special place in their hearts. As he comes of age, his sisters start searching for a suitable girl and after a great deal of hunting the unanimous choice is Priya (Samyuktha Varma). Deepu too likes her and the marriage is conducted much ceremoniously. But soon after, some shocking revelations dawn upon him and that too while he's on his honeymoon.

A police constable reopens a long-forgotten case and experiences an unsettling world.

Kaala Varkey movie is about Varkey ( Jagathy Sreekumar) who is a crude and brazen man. But in an accident Varkey becomes bedridden and a guy from another village, Jose (Vijayaraghavan) comes to look after the bulls. The film focuses on a very conservative Namboodiri family in a very regressive social milieu. Ishti centres around two main characters, a 70-year-old Ramavikraman Namboodiri, who is a Vedic scholar who preserves the fire from a Somayagam to light his funeral pyre, and Sreedevi, his young, third wife. Sreedevi stands up against orthodoxy. She manages to inspire her husband’s son from another marriage to read and write. The conflict between these characters and those who revolve around their lives is what the film is generally about. It then also becomes a strong comment on the attempt to balance worldly desires and the rigidity of caste and tradition.

The film narrates the story of a self-declared demi-god and her alcoholic husband. It is reportedly inspired from the life of the controversial godwoman Divya Joshi.
