It revolves around a lady, the owner of the Mary Martha theatre and her struggles and fights with other theatre owners in the town to release Mohanlal's movie Pulimurugan in her theatre.

The film narrates the story of a self-declared demi-god and her alcoholic husband. It is reportedly inspired from the life of the controversial godwoman Divya Joshi.

Kaala Varkey movie is about Varkey ( Jagathy Sreekumar) who is a crude and brazen man. The locals call him ‘kaala’ Varkey ( kaala means bull), as he is a man who cares more for his bulls than his wife Annamma (Pallavi) and three daughters Alice (Suvarna Mathew), Sophia (Meenakshi) and Lisy (Krishnendu).
