She is often called the first lady of Czech country music. However, it would be more accurate to say that Věra Martinová is one of our best pop singers. On top of that, she is undoubtedly an excellent guitarist. She had been planning her birthday concert for 2020, when she celebrated her milestone birthday, but the concert could not take place during the COVID-19 pandemic. It finally took place at the Hybernia Theater in November 2021 and was full of energy and great music in perfect interpretation. She performed her greatest hits, as well as songs from her latest album, Meritum.

The French orchestra Les Siecles is spoken of exclusively in superlatives. Critics, but above all listeners, highly appreciate the perfect ensemble playing of all sections of the orchestra, the clear range of dynamic differences, and rhythmic precision. Similarly, the conductor and founder of the ensemble, the charismatic François-Xavier Roth, is also highly regarded for his energetic musicality, clear gestures, and understanding of the genre he interprets. They came to Prague for the Prague Spring 2022 festival with pianist Bertrand Chamaya and a purely French repertoire. They performed works by César Franck and Claude Debussy and completely captivated the audience in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. Les Siecles is sure to win you over as well.

Benjamin Britten's monumental anti-war oratorio from the Vladislav Hall of Prague Castle in memory of war veterans and victims. British composer Benjamin Britten wrote War Requiem in 1962 on the occasion of the restoration of the war-damaged cathedral in Coventry. He used the traditional, codified Latin text of the requiem – a mass for the dead – interspersed with verses by Wilfred Owen, a British officer who wrote his poems directly in the trenches of World War I. More than two hundred artists then joined their voices in the Vladislav Hall of Prague Castle as part of the Prague Sounds festival for a symbolic performance of the work, which is rarely performed due to its demanding nature and large cast.
