An actress, lost in an unknown city, comes across an old lady who is just as lost in this city that she no longer recognizes.

Myriam, an orphan, learns that she is going to change foster families. She is often mocked for her naivety, but this candor allows her to see what others do not: talking animals or even benevolent witches who guard the forest overlooking the city. Only she could believe in the destiny of young Bilal who, he claims, is going to join his parents on the planet Mars. This first summer day will be their last in the land of their childhood.

Jacques, 50-something bachelor painter and great seducer, is about to receive the charming Claire for dinner. Broke but clever, Jacques concocted a sumptuous meal. Everything looks great when, suddenly, a door slams and turns the evening into a fiasco. Jacques will have to change his plans, play the unexpected. However, that evening, it is the unexpected that will play with him.

Diffident Frederic never wanted to be drafted into the military, but seeing as he has no choice, he does his job with the same lack of caring that he offers to all his family and friends. One day he visits a local pub and meets barmaid Saliha, the Arab daughter of the bar owner. Now, she is everywhere he turns. Eventually, he takes off from his barracks and they have a luxurious tryst on the Isle des Oiseaux.

Nino is 16, the vacation is starting and his heart is torn between Natacha, a beautiful girl who is an actress both in the theater and in life, and the delightful Nathalie, whom he's known all his life. She refuses to let the "man of her life" drift away from her as inexorably as his childhood did...
