A fairy tale love-story about pre-med student Paige who falls in love with a Danish Prince "Eddie" who refused to follow the traditions of his parents and has come to the US to quench his thirst for rebellion. Children for this movie should not be afraid and shy and they must have talent for acting. Thus the scouting is quite difficult. The most difficult is to find an actress for a main character who lost her hair after a serious illness and now has to spent the whole holiday in the countryside with a bald head resembling a knee. Although the makeup artist does his best an artificial baldness does not solve anything. From the selected little girls only the self-assertive Rosemary has the guts to let her long hair to be cut and shave off her head.

Věra lives alone and nothing seems to be waiting for her in life. She misses the time when she used to be truly happy – when she went to the sea with her friends. However, only debris remains of the old group and it is not certain whether they will be able to handle such an adventure. Good-looking Edita Beningerová (Jana Brejchová) arrives at a chemical factory in the North Bohemian town of Ústí nad Labem together with her young assistant Nada (Zlata Adamovská). She is hoping that her ex-husband, outstanding practical chemical engineer Vik Panc (Eduard Cupák), will help her conduct an experiment to validate her proposed theoretical method of isolating cholesterol from lanolin. The success of Edita's invention is crucial for her career at the Prague Institute of Chemistry. Vik's roommate from his hostel Bréta (Ivan Vyskocil) is thrilled. In the 1950s, Ludvik Jahn was expelled from the Communist Party and the University by his fellow students, because of a politically incorrect note he sent to his girlfriend. Fifteen years later, he tries to get his revenge by seducing Helena, the wife of one of his accusers.

Françoise, a French sociology student, moves to Czechoslovakia to write her thesis. She falls in love with Pavel, a professor. But the events of the "Prague Spring" begin and Pavel decides to collaborate. Françoise returns to France and meets up with her militant friends on the eve of the events of May 68 in Paris.

The protagonist is supposed to go to a graduation reunion and, because she is ashamed to reveal that she is still lonely and unmarried, she makes up a story that her husband was a Swede who came to the Czech Republic for assembly and that he died suddenly. She tries to fend off the prying classmates with a photograph of her "husband" with his colleagues from a newspaper article, where she accidentally shows a man. What a surprise the classmates experience, and what consternation she herself experiences, when the freshly deceased man in question suddenly appears at the spa where the incriminated alumni reunion is being held! And not only is he alive, he even speaks Czech suspiciously well...

This satirical comedy set in a toy factory is an attempt to take a humorous look at our manufacturing shortcomings. Supply manager Tesař performs his duties with extreme dedication. Unnecessarily, because the middle managers—chief coordinator Vaněk, who aspires to the position of deputy, and his assistant Pokora—have failed to create a management system and rely on Tesař, his abilities, and their own power.

Sometimes she drops in on a group drinking in the Vltava harbor, wanders the streets with the eccentric Ubre, who is fascinated by fishing discarded items out of trash cans and hopelessly in love with her, and avoids Míra, who, on the contrary, has stopped loving her. However, it is becoming increasingly clear to her that one day she will have to say goodbye to her childhood, cross the borders of her native neighborhood, and start doing something with her life...
