The film is based on the well-known, translated into many languages novel of writer Pawel Huelle. It is imbued with nostalgia and the atmosphere of mystery story of a group of children, fascinated by the figure of a man named David Weiser.

As Poland prepares for a presidential election, the country is consumed by political campaigning and media spectacle. Among the candidates is Jan Rydel, an outspoken and unconventional man who openly mocks the political establishment and refuses to play by its rules. As the campaign progresses, Rydel makes an unexpected decision that turns the election on its head. Determined to put his principles into practice, he sets out to give away what he has accumulated, only to discover that helping people is far more complicated than he imagined. His attempt to distribute his wealth brings a succession of eccentric characters into his life and forces him to confront the contradictions of a society driven by bureaucracy, ambition and self-interest.

The story involves the neighbors, the building owner who avoids involvement and seeks solace in classic poetry, and the super and his suspicious wife.

Feuerreiter is an elegant period drama that begins in Frankfurt in 1796. Through his friend, Baron von Sinclair, romantic and rebellious poet Friedrich Hölderlin secures the position of a private tutor in the home of a banker named Gontard. He is soon torn between his passion for poetry and his love for Susette, the lady of the house. To top it all off, Baron von Sinclair is in love with him. Hölderlin's most beautiful poems are written during this trying time. However, he becomes a total recluse when he loses Susette. The film examines the effects of conflicting demands, both emotional and sensual, that may inspire art. Feuerreiter was screened as part of the New German Films at the 49th International Berlin Film Festival, 1999.

This sumptuously photographed period drama is set in 1791 Vienna. Maximilian Bardo, an opportunistic 18-year old Viennese man with aspirations to rise above his bourgeois upbringing, looks for a chance to shoehorn himself into the nobility. His hopes lead him to the castle of a wealthy inventor, Alexander Plant. It is here that a strange story is played out, as Maximilian, full of naive illusions and innocent ideals of what it means to be wealthy and noble, quickly loses his innocence. Only after a mystical “trial” reveals a centuries-old vow binding their souls does the revered Rabbi Azriel exorcise the dybbuk, freeing both Leah and the restless spirit.
