From Wikipedia Adelqui Migliar (5 August 1891 – 6 August 1956), also known als Adelqui Millar, was a Chilean film actor, director, writer and producer. He appeared in 31 silent films between 1916 and 1928. He also directed 24 films between 1922 and 1954. He was born in Concepción, Chile, and lived and worked in The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. He died in Santiago, Chile.

In one of the city's oldest diamond-cutting establishments it is cleft and the nine small stones are polished. Escorted by detectives, Van Duylen takes the stones home and puts them in his burglar-proof safe. He tells his wife that its doors are electrically charged and that anyone opening them in the wrong way will immediately be electrocuted. After the death of their father, a travelling showman, Iris Belmore and her little brother Billy are engaged to play in a circus owned by George Munro. Jim, a young man their father had adopted, comes home after he has been at the sea, where he has saved the lives of Lady Rosemount and her son during a shipwreck. Jim, a sharpshooter, also joins Munro’s circus and shows Iris and Billy much kindness. Iris and Jim do a sharpshooting act together. Munro’s jealousy is aroused when he sees that their friendship is growing into love. In revenge he tampers with Jim’s revolver, with the result that an accident happens in the ring and Iris is slightly wounded. Jim gives Munro a severe thrashing and leaves the circus, taking Iris and Billy with him, in search of other employment. While tramping the country, they meet Lady Rosemount and her husband. Sir Henry, hearing their story and wishing to show his gratitude, buys Munro’s circus and makes Jim the manager, on condition that he marries Iris. ×

Jess and her father also leave for Africa. There, Bruce and Jess's father become friends. Meanwhile, Bruce's cousin Hubert, who expects Bruce not to return, marries under Bruce's name in order to claim his inheritance. During an attack, Bruce goes missing and is presumed dead, and Jess returns to England, where Bruce is accused of bigamy. Fortunately, Bruce, who managed to escape despite being wounded, also returns, so that everything can be cleared up. The film has largely been lost – only a single fragment has survived.
