It takes two or three generations for the monarch butterfly to reach the Canadian breeding grounds, but it is one "supergeneration" that makes the 2,000 mile return trip back south into central Mexico. The documentary film covers Dr Fred Urquhart's interest in monarch butterflies, with perspectives of Urquhart as a child wondering where the butterflies went, his years of research and study into their life and migration, to his time decades-later as a senior scientist looking back at his investigations and discoveries about the insect's life pattern.

The wonders of nature are viewed from the backyards of communities across the nation.

A documentary filmed in stunning 3D high definition for IMAX. This film will showcase millions of migratory birds, the importance the wetlands of the upper midwest play in their lives, and dangers to the continued existence of the Prairie Pothole region that is so crucial to the future of migratory birds in North America.

This film follows scientist Henry Bates as he explores the Amazon for proof of natural selection.

An uplifting story of how water connects all life on Earth. From the icy peaks of the Rockies to the salty shores of the Great Salt Lake, this visually stunning documentary follows the journey of water through a rare and fragile ecosystem. Along the way, we meet mountain lions, pronghorn, grebes, and millions of migrating birds. Discover how one of Earth’s largest ancient floods shaped the land – and how life continues to thrive in its wake. Meet the scientists, indigenous leaders, farmers and youth working together to protect this unique watershed for future generations. This film will be shown alongside Murphy’s Yellowstone in a single screening.
