Inger Holmstrand (born October 19, 1955, in Sweden) is an actress whose career spans film and television roles from the 1970s onward. She is best known for her role as Marie Adolfsson in the Swedish miniseries Mona och Marie (1973), a drama about two young women’s adventurous journey through Europe. Holmstrand has appeared in a number of other Swedish screen productions over the years, including roles in series such as Skilda världar and En dag i taget, as well as in films like Sommarmord (1994), Gossip (2000), and Talismanen (2003).

Sture is a rich alcoholic who has taken a trip to Mallorca to drink himself to death. But he meets Sylvia and they start a relationship. Sture moves in with her in a middle-class community. Sylvia has an eighteen year old daughter, Eva. She gets murdered on the night between Midsummer eve and Midsummer day, and to the police the primary suspect is Sture, who was so intoxicated that he can not say what he was doing during the night.
