Nothing's happened again in Vienna. This 'nothing' is morbid, beautiful and pretty bizarre. Franziska Pflaum captures special moments of slowness in her film. Everyday observations line up in a dreamy and surrealistic atmosphere. The images of Vienna do not tell a story but describe a state. "Should the world meets its demise, I will move to Vienna, because everything there happens fifty years later" (quote by Gustav Mahler).

Fanni has had enough of money and leaves to buy a tent. Anna has had enough of pigs and leaves one needle in the hay. Cars crash and money burns to shape their mutal tune towards a rising liberty.

Helene (86) and Toni (70) are completely different. One is planned and well-timed, the other impulsive and spontaneous. As an unlikely team, they embark on a journey to Switzerland for euthanasia. But their road trip through the mountains turns out differently than planned.

Paul seeks happiness in other people’s possessions. In the beginning he searches through his dead friend’s belongings, but soon he starts stealing other people’s things, delving into their lives and changing them radically. The painter Anna does not show her works to anyone until Paul appears and changes her paintings forever. Even the manager Katrin, who numbs herself with alcohol and sexual escapades after work, sees herself forced to rearrange her life.

Russian Oligarch Igor is as rich as he is extravagant: He plans to build his brand new villa right on a world famous and preserved bridge in the middle of Vienna! To bribe all the politicians, he needs the help of his interpreter Nadja. But Nadja has her own idea of what to do with all the bribe money.

American investment fund buys Austrian companies, but also takes over politics in Vienna. Money still makes the world go round.
