Gautier Capuçon celebrates the fifth edition of his festival "Un Eté en France" with a new series of free outdoor concerts. For this new edition, the cellist is inviting back winners who have participated in previous tours. It's an opportunity to see how these young musicians have developed in the early stages of their careers. Sharing, transmission, emotions, discoveries, unusual moments, and behind-the-scenes glimpses are all on the agenda for this new summer tour. An inspiring journey through authentic French towns and villages: in the Var region in Signes, in Corsica in Porto-Vecchio then Bastia, in the Périgord region in Saint-Félix-de-Villadeix, then in Rivesaltes in the Pyrénées-Orientales for an exceptional finale with Schubert's Octet.

After being steeped in Chinese traditional culture for 30 years, CHEN went to Paris in 1984. The different cultural environments of China and France enabled him to grow into a unique figure in the field of classical music. CHEN neither seeks approval from the West, not even his advisor Olivier Messiaen, nor caters to China. Instead, he uses his personal musical language to tell Eastern stories.

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, after two years of the coronavirus pandemic, the Vienna Philharmonic was able to welcome back an audience without restrictions to its traditional Summer Night Concert. This year's atmospheric highlight of the summer music season was dedicated to solidarity with Ukraine and to Europe's musical heritage. In the festively illuminated park of Schönbrunn Palace, they delighted a huge audience with popular classical music by Dvořák, Smetana, Rossini, Beethoven, and others. One of the program's highlights was the waltz "Farewell" by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko. Andris Nelsons conducted this year's Summer Night Concert, with Gautier Capuçon as cello soloist.

A concert where German and French Romanticism engage in a dialogue, revealing as many differences as they do similarities. Wagner invites the listener into a contemplative state bordering on ecstasy, while the sensuality of Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto and Debussy’s Impressionist evocation of nature unfold.

The show, recorded on December 16 and televised on France 5 on February 5, provides a different perspective on the international pop star. For the performance, MIKA was invited by the sumptuous Royal Opera of Versailles and accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Opera of Versaille, conducted by Stefan Plewniak. Throughout the production, MIKA was joined onstage by prestigious guests such as the “Gospel for 100,” pianist Vincent Bidal, cellist Gautier Capuçon, classical guitarist Thibaut Garcia and countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński.

Recorded at the Olympia, this concert is like a travel journal dedicated to Paris, a city that Gautier Capuçon particularly adores. At the end of 2023, the French cellist released an album entitled "Destination Paris," where classical music rubs shoulders with pop, musicals, and even film soundtracks.
